Deliveroo's Full Life campaign raises HK$2.2m via Feeding Hong Kong partnership
It had delivered over 440,000 meals to the local community.
Deliveroo announced that over HK$2.2 million has been raised by the firm and its customers through the delivery app’s donation feature since the launch of its Full Life campaign in Hong Kong.
The in-app donation and tipping feature were the first of their kind in Hong Kong, the company said, which allowed consumers to round up their totals or make an additional donation.
The funds raised resulted in over 440,000 meals being distributed to Hong Kongers facing food insecurity since the campaign began in June 2020.
As part of this campaign, Deliveroo extended its partnership with Feeding Hong Kong to continue with its ongoing efforts to reach low-income-families that have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, via the organisation’s network of over 160 frontline charities.
Along with the in-app contributions, Deliveroo also pledged to volunteer for 100 hours this year, with staff visiting the Feeding Hong Kong warehouse to assist in the packaging of donated food.
