'Forbidden' burger joins KFC Japan's release of hash brown burger
The new menu will only be available whilst supplies last.
KFC Japan will also be releasing a 'forbidden burger' option at the same time as the release of its new creation: the Karihoku Hash Filet Burger.
The burger combines KFC's signature chicken with a hash brown sandwiched together in a bun. The hash browns were specially made with fine-grained breadcrumbs heated at just the right temperature to retain the texture of the potatoes and are crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside.
The burger comes in two flavours. First is the Karihoku Hash Fillet Burger BBQ which contains a specially made BBQ sauce which was trialled with over 40 kinds of ingredients. The other is Karihoku Hash Fillet Burger Spicy made with salsa sauce balanced with cheddar cheese sauce.
Meanwhile, the ‘forbidden burger’ on its menu is a unique version of this new burger. Instead of buns, the hash brown and other ingredients are sandwiched between two pieces of fried chicken fillets.
The burgers will be sold in Japan nationwide starting 26 April whilst supplies last.
