McDonald’s hikes prices in Japan city centres

This is to help absorb the higher rent and labour costs.

McDonald's Holdings Company Japan, the operator of McDonald’s in Japan, has announced that it will be raising prices on 184 city centre branches to help absorb the higher rent and labour costs.

According to the company, the new pricing would start on 19 July.

McDonald’s said the latest round of hikes would range from 10 to 90 yen per item or set. The company said the new pricing will see the delivery price of a Big Mac rise to 590 ($4.12) yen from 540 yen.
