Deliveroo SG marks 2nd annual Rider Safety Month
The initiatives include a partnership for cyclist safety for food delivery.
To mark the second annual Rider Safety Month, Deliveroo Singapore launched a partnership with the Singapore Cycling Federation for a power-assisted bicycle and cyclist safety programme, which will equip food delivery riders with road safety.
The initiative will allow riders to use non-powered and electric bicycles for their mode of delivery.
"A national governing body for the promotion and development of the sport of cycling, the Singapore Cycling Federation’s mission is to contribute to safe cycling culture in Singapore, amongst other things," read the statement.
Aside from the partnership, Deliveroo also expanded its partnership with a transport firm, ComfortDelGro's, Driving Centre, where over 350 Deliveroo riders completed the driving course.
It initially launched the partnership in October last year. Now, ComfortDelGro and Deliveroo will release over 200 new slots for the driving course during October this year.
