GOPIZZA nears halfway mark in its 100-outlet plan for India

South Korean pizza brand GOPIZZA launched two new outlets in Chennai, marking its entry into the state of Tamil Nadu,
This marks its 45th outlet in India, almost halfway to its target of 100 operational outlets by the end of 2024.
The opening is part of its expansion plans after the brand raised almost $24m in a Series C funding round in 2022.
“Tamil Nadu is a key strategic growth market for us and we are looking at opening 50 new outlets together in the next two years,” Mahesh Reddy, CEO of GOPIZZA India said.
Founded by Jay Lim, Global CEO, GOPIZZA offers a range of authentic Korean delights, starting with the signature Korean pizzas, namely the Jonmataeng Volcano and Creamy Pizzas, skillfully combining traditional spices with a contemporary flair. The brand also serves traditional Korean Ramyun and the luscious indulgence of Cheese Ramyun.
GOPIZZA’s starter menu includes Korean Yangnyum Spicy Chicken Wings, Pops, and Spicy Wedges.
The brand differentiates itself from other players with its patented state-of-the-art GOVEN and the GOBOT which is equipped with AI Smart Topping Table to ensure equal topping and sauce distribution for its pizzas.
In a previous interview with GOPIZZA’s global CEO, the brand is eyeing a US entry as well as expansion to more Asian markets.
