In a quick interview with QSR Media, Rachel shared her views on the interesting trends this past year and what she aims to share at her speaking session for the event.
QSR Media: What has been your top challenge for the year and how did you and your brand overcome it?
Rachel: Our top HR challenge has always been attracting, hiring and retaining talents in this highly competitive industry. Developing a thorough and compelling employee value proposition (EVP) helps not just attract the right fit but also retains them in the long run.
What are some of the interesting trends you've noticed in the past year that QSR leaders should keep an eye out for?
- The need for HR digital transformation has accelerated. QSR leaders are advised to look at leveraging AI and automation for mundane tasks.
- With a growing focus on positive employee experience, think about reimagining work, and implementing health and wellness programs and career development opportunities as part of offerings for crew members.
- Additionally, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives are gaining traction. QSR leaders ought to prioritise diversity in hiring and promoting inclusive workplace cultures.
What specific insights do you want to leave the audience in your speaking/panel session?
Embrace DEI as not only an ethical imperative but also a powerful tool for maintaining a competitive advantage. Introducing and promoting as an inclusive employer attracts top talents and resonates with a diverse customer base.
