
Gloria Jean's Coffee closes its last shop in Vietnam
The Australian coffee chain is leaving Vietnam.
Gloria Jean's arrived in Vietnam in 2007 under a franchise license secured by the VietLifestyle JSC, After ten years in the country, the brand closed its last store in Ho Chi Minh City, in the Phu My Hung urban area of District 7.
According to media reports, VietLifestyle had planned to open a further 20 locations over the next two years, but was forced to close down its stores amid pressure brought about by stiff competition and high rents..
Gloria Jean’s was founded in Australia in 1996, and has a network of more than 900 outlets worldwide.
